All About Scully's

Scully's was born out of a desire to bring quality family dining to Silver Lake, a husband's pursuit to realize his wife's childhood dream, and a Chef's passion for a fresh take on classic comfort food. It is the culmination of a childhood dream, a love story, and two best friends working together. Comprised of husband-and-wife owners, Joe & Ashley, and a passionate Chef, Nick, Scully's coming-to-be is a story of "meant to be’s”. As a popular dining spot, Scully's Silver Lake Grill graced the shores of Silver Lake for 23 years, and as the Silver Lake Grill for some 50 years prior to that. At about the same time previous owners Jim and Debra Scully bought the Silver Lake Grill and branded it Scully's Silver Lake Grill in 1999, Joe and Nick were attending high school together. They became lifelong friends. Joe and Ashley met in 2010, while working together as restaurant servers. At the same time, Nick was building his career as a professional Chef. Years went by as he honed his skills, Joe found a career in construction management and Ashley in nursing. Nick got married, and soon after Ashley and Joe married each other. That's when Joe moved to Silver Lake, where Ashley was born and raised. Her family goes back 4 generations here. Joe fell in love with the community, so much so that he convinced his best friend Nick it was a great place to raise a family. Soon after, Nick and his wife moved to Silver Lake as well. Nick and his wife went on to have two kids, while Ashley and Joe had 5. Joe and Ashley had a standing "date day" at Scully's Silver Lake Grill, almost every Friday. It was the only time they had for just the two of them. On their visits, Ashley shared that as a little girl she had always wanted to own a restaurant. Nick was employed in a very fast-paced, non-stop restaurant, working nights, weekends and holidays, and missing time at home with his family. Then, Jim and Deb Scully decided it was time to move on, and Scully's Silver Lake Grill closed its doors. There was no longer a place for breakfast in Silver Lake and Joe and Ashley's standing Friday breakfast didn't fit in their busy schedule with having to travel outside of Silver Lake, so that ended as well. That’s when Joe saw an opportunity…an opportunity to help realize his wife’s childhood dream, an opportunity to give his best friend more time at home with his family, and an opportunity to bring quality breakfast, in a family restaurant environment, back to the shores of Silver Lake. The name Scully’s was chosen to honor the dedication and commitment Jim and Deb Scully put into the community for 23 years. The menu and it’s ingredients were meticulously crafted and sourced from local farms. The atmosphere was designed to make you feel at home, and accentuate all things Silver Lake. Since its opening in March of 2023, Scully’s has expanded its menu and hours from breakfast only to breakfast, lunch, Friday fish fry, and now dinner, 5 nights a week. Scully’s Restaurant and its staff are committed to providing guests with an amazing meal and exceptional service. With an eye towards farm fresh ingredients, an entirely fresh made menu, and a passion for delicious food combined with quality service, Joe, Ashley, Nick, and the entire staff look forward to welcoming you in to Scully’s for quality, casual dining!
